Midwives have a critical role in recognising when symptoms are not normal and referring women for further investigations and diagnosis. Early symptoms of cardiac disease can overlap with normal physiological symptoms of pregnancy. Attending this Symposium will enhance your practice by providing you with the knowledge and skills to know how to differentiate normal from abnormal signs and symptoms in the peripartum period.
