Leading for maternity improvement course for band 7 Midwives
The RCM Leading for Maternity Improvement Course is an innovative and transformational four-day development journey for Band 7 Midwives who aspire to develop and apply their leadership skills in a positive and supportive work environment.
The four-day course, which is delivered over six months, will enable participants to gain personal insights and develop practical leadership and management skills to deploy at work. Participants will develop their leadership skills and examine how to put women and families at the heart of what they do.
The course employs a multi-media approach, utilising a 70:20:10 approach:-
- Workplace learning and development (70%)
- Coaching, Mentoring and Remote Learning (20%)
- Workshop Based Learning (10%)
The course covers four main themes
- Leading Self "Who am I?"
- Interpersonal Leadership "How do I engage with others?
- Leading Change "How do I lead service improvement"
- Team Leadership"How do I lead others?"
Workshop dates
11 September, 10 October, 6 November and 3 December
Lunch is provided and refreshments will be available throughout the day. The workshops timings are 9.30-16.45.
