Today is International Day of the Midwife and this year's theme is Follow the Data: Invest in Midwives.

Nicky Foster, Deputy Head of Midwifery at the Trust, pictured below with Sue Lane, Local Health and Safety Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Representative, said: "We have signed the RCM ‘Caring for You’ charter to improve health, safety and wellbeing at work so RCM members are able to provide high quality maternity care for women and their families. The signing of the charter was a virtual event, witnessed by Rae Trotter (senior organiser) and midwives from the Trust.

"We'd like to say a big thank you to all our midwives, midwifery support workers and all who work within maternity services for all their hard work and support that they give daily to the families in our care. Each and every one is very much appreciated!"
