RCM comment on birth of Royal baby

The Duke of Sussex has announced that the Duchess of Sussex gave birth to a baby boy today.

Responding to the official announcement Gill Walton, Chief Executive and General Secretary of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), said: “On behalf of the RCM I offer our warmest and heartfelt congratulations to Duchess and Duke of Sussex on the birth of their baby boy. We wish them the best of health and happiness in the future.

“I would also offer our thanks to the midwives and other health professionals who have supported the Duchess and her family through her pregnancy and who will support her after the birth”
