Transitioning from student to newly qualified midwife

The transition from student midwife to newly qualified midwife can be a challenging and overwhelming time. Many students report feeling underprepared for qualification and becoming autonomous practitioners. It is so important that students receive the support and supervision they need to better prepare for that big leap.  This webinar hosted by the RCM student midwife forum will explored what is necessary to better support students and newly qualified midwives through this time. The speaker panel drew from experts in education and clinical practice to discuss ways to experience a smooth transition, their top tips, and whether the new standards will impact this journey.
